Hi, I'm Dawn Boultwood, a BA​CP-registered counsellor, currently offering online and telephone appointments. Welcome to my website.

With our world now opening up and Coronavirus restrictions lifting, the impact of these changes, on top of our ‘everyday’ concerns can be difficult. We might feel anxious, stressed, depressed, alone, fearful, ‘different’, isolated, uncertain and/or overwhelmed. Talking to a trained professional can help to process these emotions and make them feel more manageable.  As the saying goes, talking helps.

I have worked with people who have come to therapy for many different reasons including: anxiety, panic attacks, stress, depression, low mood, low self-esteem, unwanted thoughts or fears, bereavement, fertility problems, relationship problems, work-related issues, accident/illness, and difficulty coping with a past event.

How I work

As a person-centred counsellor I believe that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is key to healing. As such, I work together with my clients to build trust, mutual respect and the desire to work in partnership during our sessions. I do this in a caring, supportive, respectful and non-judgemental manner, to help my clients feel valued, reassured that our sessions together are confidential, and to help them feel safe and comfortable.

Dip Couns, MBACP

I am a qualified, BACP-registered, person-centred counsellor. I currently offer online​ counselling sessions, via Zoom, Skype, and FaceTime, plus telephone appointments. During our sessions we can confidentially explore the challenges and difficulties that are troubling you, to help you put your concerns, worries and fears into perspective. This will help you feel better able to cope and in more control of your life. I work in a warm, supportive, empathic and non-judgemental manner, to build a healing partnership with my clients.

It can always be difficult to open up to someone you don't know but Dawn instantly made me feel at ease. She provided me with a warm, welcoming, safe space to work through some difficulties at my own pace. She is extremely professional but very friendly and I regularly left in higher spirits.
